  1. My favourite 3 quotes would be "E tu brute? Then fall Caesar." "Hold hard then heart, for at least then you live" "Nothing ever worth doing was easy"
  2. My main motivation for Spanish is simply that one day I will get a spanish girlfriend and we will travel all around the world. He name will be maria.
  3. Italian and Spanish are way more similar too each other than French. A Spanish could read some of Italian while the same couldn't be said for French.
  4. Some Castillian Spanish radio station are really great. My favourite would be Andalucia. They do a lot of talking about topical things which make it easier to understand.
  5. Well I don't really think that this a good question to be asking. It all really depends on Where you have studied Spanish. If you have studied it in Mexico, You will find Spain's Spanish odd because of the lisp and such if you know what I mean.
  6. Well I can contribute this to the Topic. There was this language learning children's cartoon series called Muzzy (You can find it on YouTube if you want now). Well anyway I watched the German version with my younger brother and what I can say about it is this, It will not make you child fluent in the language, however, to this day I can still count to 10 in German and say Good morning and goodnight. My theory is that because I was younger, my mind was more elastic and more open to learning new things so everything I learnt from the show was stored in my mind, even if I didn't learn very much.
  7. Hi sorry to be a bother but I was wondering could you add a section for The Irish language (Gaeilge). I saw you had a section for other smaller languages and I thought I could go and ask. Go raibh míle maith agat!
  8. My favourite words in Spanish would have to be (Apologies if some words are misspelt) 1. - Desgraciamente 2. - Desafortunadamente 3. - Muerte 4. - Ciencias I love the first and second simply because you sound like somebody Intelligent when you say them. I love 3 and 4 because of breaking bad (I won't say what scene though because of spoilers)
  9. Once I reach fluency I'm definitely going to do the Camino de Santiago in Spain. I know you don't need to speak Spanish or really know anything about Spanish culture to do it but for a reason I can't quite explain I think it would change my life. Oh and also I would go to Madrid and find myself an Irish pub. Then I can blow all of their minds as I use my triple Irish/English/Spanish combo!
  10. I probably would have never found out that I had an interest in Chinese had it not been for a six week course I did in school. In my secondary school we had a year that was just dedicated to doing extra- curricular things such as yoga, Putting on a musical, learning Java programming and many other things. Our year was the first year to do a course called "Chinese culture". Now I won't lie, the majority of people in my year though it was really stupid but a couple of people (myself included) though that it was brilliant. That's how I found my interest in Chinese.
