  1. I started taking German my freshman year of high school. Unfortunately, I had to transfer to a new school where German wasn't offered, but I will never forget that amazing year I spent there.
  2. Yes!! Yes yes yes yes, absolutely yes! I took German my freshman year of highschool, and despite having a troll for a teacher, the language was positively amazing. I really do think it's a language that captures the hearts of many students.
  3. German dialects often contain syllables and sounds not usually found in other languages. These sounds are guttural, and lead to the speaker sounding rough, and occasionally aggressive. Overall, I think body language is most important when speaking to someone. Though German can sometimes sound aggressive, if the speaker's body language is warm and inviting, that should clear everything up. :-)
  4. Thank you so much for providing this website! I'm currently studying Mandarin Chinese, as well, and I've found that there seems to be a lack of sufficient resources online. This will definitely help!
