Came here to advertise? Read first   12/05/2016

Over the last few months, there's been a huge increase of members coming here just to advertise their own products, services, or whatever.
This is fine, but the "General Discussions" section is not the right place. If you came here to advertise anything you made or provide yourself, do this here.
If you came here to advertise anything you love to use, do it here. Thank you for your understanding. And remember: anything we consider spam is subject to the ban hammer. Any smash is available free of charge.

  6. I've tried my hand at every language-learning app you can think of, but none of them have come close to the amount of variety you can find on YouTube! Due to the nature of the app, all of its content is created and produced by its users. This means that no matter how uncommon the language you're looking to study is, you're bound to find something on YouTube that matches exactly what you're looking for. A few months ago, I was really interested in learning Icelandic. The app I normally go to for learning languages (Duolingo) didn't have Icelandic, so I scoured the internet until I realized that YouTube was my best bet. On there I found Icelandic learning videos, and even subscribed to a few Icelandic YouTubers to practice my comprehension skills.
  7. Do you have apps that are not strictly speaking language-learning related but that help you to study? Which ones can you recommend? Maybe there are games that help you learn new words or some motivational apps that keep you on track when it comes to regular study hours. Let's share the titles that are useful for making progress in language learning!
