Came here to advertise? Read first   12/05/2016

Over the last few months, there's been a huge increase of members coming here just to advertise their own products, services, or whatever.
This is fine, but the "General Discussions" section is not the right place. If you came here to advertise anything you made or provide yourself, do this here.
If you came here to advertise anything you love to use, do it here. Thank you for your understanding. And remember: anything we consider spam is subject to the ban hammer. Any smash is available free of charge.

  2. Rocket Spanish is an online Spanish course by Rocket Languages. It's the biggest selling course in the Rocket Languages lineup — particularly popular for folks wanting casual, conversational Latin American Spanish. The idea behind Rocket Spanish is that there is a certain amount of "essential" language you need, and a whole lot of stuff that can wait until later. For instance, they say that if you don't know the word for "pencil" you can point to a pencil and ask a Spanish speaker, "how do you say this?" But if you don't know how to say "how do you say this?" then you're pretty screwed. So Rocket Spanish supposedly focuses on the most useful grammar and vocabulary first. Rocket Spanish doesn't quite have the profile of big players like Rosetta Stone or Pimsleur, and it isn't quite as flashy as Fluenz or Duolingo. So how does it stack up? Let's take a look...http://bit.do/cRZ3u
  3. Movies, friends & family are amongst the best ways to effectively learn spanish, but did you know that reading news articles in spanish could be beneficial too? Fluentu.com actually mentions it as an effective way to learn the language. In the website that that I suggest, you will find national news, international news, along with news related to "Life" in general. Here's a website that you should go check out: http://www.noticieromedia.com/ Translating the page with google translate will help a lot, but try to read it in Spanish first. You might be amazed on how much you already know about reading Spanish.
