  1. Hi everyone Could you please help me to make the translation of the following tagalog sentences: 1. Kumanta ang mga bata 2. Bago ang bahay. 3. Artista ang babae. 4. Nasa kusina ang mesa. My translations are as follows: 1. The children are singing. 2. The house is new. 3. The woman is an actress. 4 The table is in the kitchen. Please let me know if my translations are correct. Thanks a lot. Best, Lingua
  2. I'm not sure if this is allowed. I am working with a freelance company (OneSpace) to identify freelance workers to assist with a project. We need people to transcribe audio files (no translation needed). There are multiple roles for each language needed. The project begins on 2/1 and is flexible work. You would work from home. All you need is a PayPal email address to be paid as your work is completed. To be considered, I can send you a 1-minute audio file to be transcribed. We are open to considering people without previous transcription experience as long as they have the necessary language skills. Thank you! Emily
  3. Hello everyone! August is a whole month for celebrating our native language here in the Philippines called Filipino. During this month, schools would usually hold programs showcasing our Filipino language. Students would either dance, sing, recite poems, perform skits, and many other activities with the use of the Filipino language. Do you also have a celebration in your country for your native language? How do you go about it?
  4. Filipino language may not be popular as other languages such as Chinese, Spanish, German, English etcs. but Philippines because of its beautiful spots, this country is one of the favorite destinations in Asia. That is why I am wondering if anybody here has/had interest in learning the language of this country which is Filipino. Anyone? And if yes, why do/did you have an interest to learn the language?
  5. Even some native speakers in the Philippines do not know somehow that there are difference between Tagalog and Filipino. Most of the time Tagalog is being associated as the national language of the Phils. but this is actually not correct. The official language of the Phils. is actually Filipino and Tagalog is the native dialect of the Tagalog ethnic group, this group is based in the provinces of Central and Southern Luzon. It was true, that this native language was declared as the official language way back then, but lost its officiality in 1897. The new and latest constitution declared Filipino as the official and national language of the country. Although, it is hard even myself to exactly point out the difference between the two. It is clear that if you would be asked what is the official language of the Philippines, you would not say next time- Tagalog, rather your response would be, Filipino.
