Have a doubt on reflexive verbs

Recommended Posts

Duraba esto hacía unos años, cuando, en una tarde del último octubre, Luciana vino a sentarse a mi lado. Me
levanté al acercárseme, dispuesto a cederle el sitio y sin pensar que se hubiese molestado por mí. Pero ella,
con un gracioso ademán, me hizo seña de que me volviera a sentar.
--Confiese usted, caballero, que no es usted curioso--me dijo sonriendo.
--¿A qué se refiere la observación

Could someone please explain how  "Acercarseme" can be translated into English . I understand the "se" here is a reflexive verb but then what is the use of "me" here?

For those who don't know, this is in Spanish.
Please include the original language, just so that other people who don't know would know it, this topic won't become a clickbait, and people with no knowledge to Spanish can pass it down to people who speak Spanish.
