Swede, attempting russian (this time around)

Recommended Posts

Well hello I guess!

My mother tongue is Swedish but languages are a spare-time interest of mine. When I go visit a country I like to learn a bit of their language and try to get by with it, and it feels awesome when you are able to use what you have learned. This summer I will go to Russia for the football world cup and I although I planned to stay with germanic and latin languages I feel I can't go there without some russian to make a total ass out of myself with.... I may be here for a long time and focus always changes but as of now my focus is Russian.

      Greetings from Belarus!
Nowadays the Educational centre Leader is the biggest private centre for adults. "Leader" exists since 1999. We work in 27 cities of Belarus, use the modern technologies and have experienced teachers. We are one of the centres that invites foreigners to study Russian to the safe and beautiful country, where everyone speaks Russian.
We collaborate with different companies and more than 500 companies trust us to teach their employers many courses and Russian as a foreign language for foreign partners, as well.
The educational centre "Leader" are officially recognized as courses No. 1 in Belarus in 2016 according to the results of the International Festival-Contest "Choice of the Year".
We offer Russian as a Foreign Language in either long-term courses for students who wish to study in Belarus or short-term courses (especially during the summer months) throughout the year. Furthermore, we assist our students with their visa application process, registration in migration services, provide accommodation options, help you with casual problems, and organize your leisure activity in Belarus. We are pleased to offer many possibilities for the people who want to study Russian language.
Our teachers – professionals and experts with great experience, who are devoted to their jobs.
We have become the centre that provides exams for foreign students, who want to identify their level of Russian language command, or to get the Russian or Belarussian citizenship, or officially work in Belarus and Russia.
Compared to other European countries, the prices in Minsk are very low and the costs of living are a fraction of what a foreign student would have to pay in other cities. Let’s look at the facts:
      ·         bus ticket 0.3 €
      ·         5 km by taxi 3,2 €
      ·         lunch in a café 12 €
      ·         ice-cream 0,5 €
      ·         The Great Patriotic War museum entrance ticket 3,2 €
      ·         a bottle of local beer 0,75 €
      ·         A week of Russian language group courses at Leader Language school 120 €

I am a teacher of Russian and I just started an instagram account that I dedicate to teaching about Russian language, culture, and cuisine. It's the perfect social network platform for me to share with English-speakers insights, lessons, and experiment with the new power of microlearning! The reason for starting it is that I wanted to share with people of different ages who are interested in Russian language and culture the insights and experience that I have from working with students learning Russian and studying learning theory!

Hello! I'm a twenty-year-old philosophy student, and I'm currently studying the Swedish language as some kind of personal challenge. I speak Dutch and English fluently, but I feel like I should know more languages than just two. I find Swedish one of the most beautiful languages in the world, and really would love to speak it fluently one day. If there is anyone who would be interested to just chat about (and in) the language sometime, that would be very awesome! If you are trying to learn Dutch, or just like talking about any subject really, I'm always up for it.
If you are Swedish, or happen to know the language really well, and would like to help me out, feel free to leave a reply! I prefer to speak through a network like Skype or Discord, but if you have an alternative, feel free to let me know. I can send my contact details through a PM.
      Best regards,
      Springstof  // Jesse
