  1. What are the many ways to say "I am yours" in different languages? I'll start with Filipino and that is- Ako ay sa iyo. I find it really romantic. If you know a different language, share your meaning to this.

  2. I have the same problems as you. My speaking skills are terrible because I never get the chance to use them. I used to do internet karaoke and it helped with pronunciation, but not with my ability to speak properly (meaning I can't generate sentences on the spot).

This is a good idea. Also, try to watch some TV shows. That will help you a lot too with the accents.

  3. English is pretty much used here as a second language so it was more imposed of society. As for other languages, I'm having problems thinking of a way to effectively learn one by myself. Do any of you guys use a structure for which you learn new languages in?

This much is true. My structure I guess is simple and easy. I just really communicate with lots of people who speak the English language. This is how I hone my skills.

  4. Tried out Tengwar once years ago....it felt kind of silly without real world context. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fantasy nerd, but....I guess the exciting part of learning new languages to me is the ability to communicate with people and explore different points of view. It's kind of hard to do that with fictional characters who can't so much be developed further with their creator being dead.

This is my first time to encounter it. I am willing to discover this and play with my friends. Sounds cool!

  5. Now that I have autocorrect on my phone it just seems pointless to make myself look dumber by using shortcuts. I never used them, even when I didn't have autocorrect. I can understand how they can be useful but why not just include the extra two letters and make your message look better and more understandable?

Yes but sometimes autocorrect can really bring out the worst on my messages. Haha It's funny! I had to disable that on my phone.

  6. I do love the Egyptians way but then I came to love the modern way on how we do it. It is more clear and it doesn't require artistic skills. I mean, it's cool if you can write in Egyptian but for me who can only draw stick figures, I'm afraid I might convey my message wrong.
