  1. Nice! I'm going to add a couple of examples that confuse some people when they try to learn the difference between para and por.

Por mi, haz lo que tu quieras.

Para mi, será mejor si expliques la situación.

So, you can express opinion with both para and por, but por implies a more negative attitude, while para is more casual.

  2. Repetition and abundance always has a negative effect on every thing you can imagine. As you said many same words in the same text, devaluate each other. Same goes for exclamation marks. If you end each sentence with an exclamation mark, in the end it will seem as you are not excited at all. Too many adjectives defining a noun devaluate each other.

This can go really far. Think about money. When a nation has a lot of money, the individual coin loses it's value!

  3. After 5-6 years of studying Spanish I can finally say and prove that I am fluent.

I am that late because the first four years, I was never asked to speak Spanish seriously. I only spoke twice for some oral exams (I study Spanish Philology by the way).

But, this January I moved to Spain for five months. I had a bit of trouble speaking the very first days. I just never had no other option than speak the language or not speak at all. By the end of my stay I was fluent on a really high level.

  4. Hey Jon! It's just awesome that you keep looking back to your lineage. You can only earn through that process and become richer!

Learning greek will also help you understand some aspects of english, and generally language structure!

I'll send you a private message for more.

  5. Stressed ownership words can come handy to stress both the object and your ownership. For instance:

    -Mi coche es rápido.

    -Mio es mas rápido.

Note that in the second sentence we are already in context - we know that the second speaker is talking about cars. Another example:

Esta es mi chaqueta y aquella es la tuya.

This would not sound natural if I mentioned the "chaqueta" again. Instead, I replaced it all with "tuya". Hope this helps!

  6. Hey all! I've got a little exercise for you, since i know how hard can "para" and "por" be to master.

I'm going to quickly note their uses to be of help. Everyone who wants to join just has to post two sentences: one with "para" and one with "por". If you want, add a comment on what use you were aiming for.

Entonces, "por" se usa para expresar 1) causa, 2) lugar aproximado, 3) tiempo aproximado. 4) precios, 5) voz pasiva, 6) medio, 7) periodicidad.

"Para" se usa para expresar 1) finalidad, 2) fecha límite, 3) opinión, 4) direccion, 5) establecer una comparacion.

    Go ahead and try it!
