  1. No. Use something else because Google translate messes up. Sometimes, grammar matters in language because it changes the meaning and word choices. I used google translate for a French project and failed because google translator is not good for forming sentence...it's okay if you want to know what a single word is though.

  2. It isn't true for me. In math I retain 70% or more of what I learned. Also, I learned Albanian 4-5 years ago and I remember a lot of what I learned. Anyways, since you already learn it...it will be easy to bring back. All you have to do is review old notes or maybe get an app (like dulingo) and refresh your memory on it from their.

  3. I don't think watching movies helps me learn a language. It helps makes it stronger but not make it better. When I first started learning French I watched a lot of movies in French with English subtitles...it didn't help. But now that I can pick up 70% of what someone is saying and know the basic.. it helps me remember and i can draw a conclusion based on what they say. but it definitely isn't a good way to learn a new language.

  4. Well, my biggest motivator for learning a new language is learning for knowledge. I don't want to die and just be able to say that I just rode along with life. I want to explore and understand different things. Another reason I would want to learn a new language is to be able to communicate with different people. I'd love to talk and have a nice discussion with anyone I pass.

  5. TO be honest it depends on where you get it from. I don't know about Chinese but I know for French it cost $300 If I had gone somewhere differently, I could've bought it cheaper. I have seen it at Barnes and Nobles for under 200$ (which is good).

  6. Currently, I am studying both French and American Sign Language. I've been in French for about two years. I am just beginning to take American Sign language. I decided to take another language because I find it fascinating about the different ways we communicate and how it impacts our culture. After American Sign Language, I will learn a new language.
