I can't remember most of the ideas presented there now. But I do recall loving the book so much that I've read it several times. I even saw a comic version of it. Baburra Posted November 16, 2014 Report Share Posted November 16, 2014 I read it once a long time ago and I remember having fun doing so but I'm not exactly sure how helpful it was with sculpting my philosophy in life and the tactics I use. It was at least entertaining for me though as I still remember my enjoyment from reading it, but as far as learning from it I think there are a lot more books now that would offer a much more current and relevant psychology. I myself don't think I've applied most of the strategies presented there. However, that's probably because I've forgotten about the many ideas in the book. I'm sure I've picked one or two strategies from the book. Like I mentioned earlier, it's one of the best books I've read back in 2002. It's nice to see some positive stuff about this book. I think I'll give it a try based on the replies here about it being an enjoyable read. Sun Tzu presents his book starting with knowing your enemy and he goes full circle with the use of spies. It's also one of my collections in my e-book reader. Sun Tzu's book is more than just reading material; it conveys a latent meaning of being prepared to adapt to various situations in life.
