Thanks guys/gals for your help! I am sure that B is correct. "Effect" is a noun. At this place in the phrase there must be a verb. That is one reason why B is wrong for sure. "The effect of context in this case is tremendous" - here, effect is used as a noun. but "Context affects it very strongly" - a verb.
