Correct way to describe someone?

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon,

I was hoping someone could help me with a bit of explanation. I am sorry for writing in Romaji. I don't like using it but my computer does not seem to be able to type Japanese characters.

In a video by Yuko Sensei on Youtube she explained how to describe someone.

What you have to say is Tanaka San wa me ga chiisai desu.

Can you also say Tanaka San no me wa chiisai desu?

If not, can someone explain why?

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Recently I signed up on this website because I wanted to find a place where I could check the correctness of my german sentences I don't have any native speaker in my surroundings so I thought that German forum would be a good place for supporting that. I am learning vocabulary by using words in the sentences, but I know that I will have struggle with the correctness of those sentences.

"Es musste mit ihm immer trotzen sein"
      Is this sentence grammatically correct?
      What does "Es" refer to?
What effect would it have on the meaning of the sentence if "sein" were deleted?
