Right & Wrong, a new section proposal

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I'd like to propose to all members of this forum a new section called "Right and Wrong", where every participant who post in here, do that to share a bit about himself; gustos, anécdotas, sueños, etc. to pursue the goal of knowing each other a little bit more and also practice or improve the learning of the wanted language. In this case, I started for "Spanish - English", since I'm a Spanish language native and I'm learning English. La mecánica es la siguiente... If the native language of the participant is Spanish, he will post in that language and then he will do in English dentro del mismo post, but WITHOUT the help of translaters; the real purpose is that he can add comprensión and practice by his own knowledge and the guiding help of the members. Whatever he don't know how to write podrá dejar igual y resaltar en negrita. The participant who answer to CORREGIR will do that offering some examples, so all the people can understand and learn. Of course if the writed post suposedly right is not, it will be corregido as well.

As I mentioned this post, I shall start.

PS.- The new section name is open to new suggestions.

I like your idea! Here is your post with just a few corrections:

I'd like to propose to all members of this forum a new section called "Right and Wrong", where every participant who posts in here, do that to shares a bit about himself; likes and dislikes, stories and anecdotes, dreams, etc. to pursue the goal of knowing each other a little bit more and also to practice or improve the learning of the wanted language the language you are learning. In this case, I started for with "Spanish - English", since I'm a Spanish language native and I'm learning English. This is how we can do it... If the native language of the participant is Spanish, he will post in that language and then he will do in English in the same post, but WITHOUT the help of translaters; the real purpose is that he can add comprensión improve his understanding of the language and practice by his own knowledge and with the guiding help of the other members. Whatever he don't doesn't know how to write he can leave as it is and put in bold. The participant who answers to corrrect will do that offering some examples, so all the people can understand and learn. Of course if what was written in a language the person thought he knew well but turns out poorly done another member who knows that language well can correct it.  (Wow, that last sentence was a bit hard to translate.. someone else might have a better translation.

I'm learning Italian so....

Mi piace imparare l'italiano perché è divertente e mi è piaciuta troppo Roma. Ascolto molto la musica italiana, mi fa ridere i video di Fabio Rovazzi. È anche utile verder sul youtube gli intervisti con i musici, per ascoltare la lingua. Ho voglio di guardare piu film italiani ma non trovo molto per guardare. Ci sono Cinema Paradiso in Amazon adesso, presto voglio guardarli.

GRazie!

Here some corrections:

"Voy usar este foro para hablar de cosas al azar."  You only missed to add that single word in bold.

"Ayer tuve intoxicación alimentaria porque de comida terrible de mi universidad. Me tan enojada."  "Ayer tuve intoxicación alimentaria debido a la pésima comida de mi universidad. Estoy muy enojada."

Later I'm going to talk a little about me. ;)

Correcciónes:

My name is Alex, I'm 42, married and living in Mexico up to this time. currently

I have more than eight years living here, been living here for more than eight years,

and I feel so good; Mexican people are very kind and warm, the nature environment is beautiful and the food is delicious.  Environment es una surgerencia. Usted podria usar nature pero pienso que environment es mejor.

I'm from Chile, however, my wife is Mexican. This is my first time on  in a foreign country.

Could you explain to me how to use in a proper manner the words in, on, onto and at? I have a mess in my mind figuring out. ^_^

Thanks in advance!

En inglés in no tiene dos sentidos como español.

Por ejemplo:

La piedra está en la mesa. The stone is on the table.

él está en la casa. He is in the house.

Si usted dice on o onto es como decir sobre o encima de.

At es difícil explicar. A veces pienso es como "a" en espanol. Por ejemplo:

él está mirando a ella. He is looking at her.

Sin embargo, en inglés at tambien se utiliza para locación.

Ella está en el centro comercial. She is at the mall.

Espero que ayuda!

Idioma es difícil.

Tambien "a" en español se vuelve "to" en inglés.

Voy al mercado.

I am going to the market.

What do you mean with "Idioma es difícil."? Spanish language or learning any language?

I understand about that "rr" sound, since it's not in the English consonants. It is like the so familiar sound "sh" for you, English speakers, but not for us, Spanish speakers. That sound may become "familiar" with a lot of practice.

      1. What is Kanji?
Kanji is the kanji used in the Japanese writing system along with Hiragana and Katakana. Learning Kanji for beginner that Japanese people are using now include Chinese characters imported from China and Chinese characters created by the Japanese.

      2. Why learn Kanji?
Japanese has many homophones but different meanings, it is necessary to rely on Kanji to determine the meaning of the word.
Currently in Japan, the names of stations, shops or signs are mostly written in Kanji, so learning Kanji is essential if you want to travel or live in Japan.
Studying well Kanji, you will be able to read and translate Japanese documents well, because Kanji accounts for 70% of the content of Japanese articles or documents.
Although necessary, learning kanji for beginners is not easy at all. Today, I would like to share some effective ways to learn Kanji drawn by myself after studying Kanji
      3. Learning with software
If you've ever learned about effective Learning Kanji for beginners methods, you probably already know the flashcard method. I have tried this method before, and from my personal perspective it is quite boring and ineffective for me.
Instead, I choose to study on the phone, the web is both fun and convenient. If you are proficient in technology, you will easily find effective Kanji learning apps on your phone. If you are not proficient in technology, you can use it directly on the website. When I found out, I know this product is both supported on mobile applications and has a convenient web version that has been researched and built by a team of experts from countries, Asian countries and throughout Asia. u. The most interesting point in this Japanese language learning software is that you can study, entertain and specially take the free trial exam. You are curious, but you can try it right now: Learn Japanese Kanji

      4. Learning and associating
Since Kanji is a hieroglyph, the way to learn Chinese characters in Japanese is also interesting. Hieroglyphs are words of the ancients seeing things and things and rewriting them, describing them in their own way of thinking and imagination. Therefore, one of the tips for learning Kanji for beginners is to imagine and compare Kanji according to things and phenomena in real life. This way the kanji will be imprinted more deeply in your brain than just learning rote as you normally do. There are quite a few good books to help you supplement your Kanji learning by this association: "Remember the Kanji" by James Heisig or "Kanji Pict-O-Graphix" by Michael Rowley.

      Hi everyone!
I am posting here because I would like to learn languages. Mainly European languages. I was wondering if maybe you could give me tips on how to decide on which European language I should go for. I have personal interest in the following languages: Spanish, French, Dutch, German, Greek. But if you suggest other European languages for my consideration, I'll be happy. Please, don't post hateful comments. Thank you.

In this busy life, everyone desires to learn many things but don’t want to invest much time in it. So is the case with English learning, many people run after grammar and learning new words but no one cares to practice spoken English which is the main thing to gain the fluency and confidence when you converse in English with anyone. Understandably, for a better English, one needs to speak in English most of the time, and assuredly you need an English speaker to practice and speak in English with. Yet, most of the times we fail to get a partner to converse in English with. Right?
This is the main concern individuals generally and lose the hope of learning English. However, with these many advents today in technology this is not an issue anymore.
You can download the English practice app - EngVarta that may help you to converse in English with one to one Expert who may help you to improve your English and fluency. I have been using this app since a few weeks and I can feel the difference in my confidence in speaking English this day.
