      1. It sounds easy at first but, man, can you get easily lost in translation. Grammar is a hassle, not to mention phrasing. I studied Latin 3 years, in highscool and in the beginning it was indeed quite easy. But when we started diving into translating passages from old books I realized that I will never comprehend entirely the language. It's a dead language, it has been for a long time so after highschool I focused on other languages.
      2. He is my all times favorite writer and has been ever since I read Hard boiled wonderland and at the end of the world. That was10 years ago and since I managed to read everything he wrote and was translated either in English or Romanian. His books contain the perfect amount of surrealism, just enough to keep you wondering. If you want something to start off with then I recommend his short stories. He has a couple of volumes released and they could help you make an idea.
      3. I don't use the app u mentioned but I will definitely test it. I have installed a while ago a similar app to the one you described. It's called JA-Sensei and it's been quite helpful. It has many exercises and tests and modules to teach you how to draw all the characters.
      4. This is how I learned my first words in Japanese: inu and neko. I developed a passion not only for their language but for their culture as well. I am fascinated and cannot wait to get there. I learned a lot from anime but I usually double check every new piece of information I find out. Sometimes they tend to exaggerate or present facts in a favorable manner for the plot so it's better to check using a more reliable source.
      5. Hey there! My name is Honi and I am trying to learn Japanese. It's not an easy language and I don't think I will ever be able to learn all those characters but I will be content with just learning to speak it. I'm also learning French but that is easier. Nice meeting you all!
