Nice to meet you. 马赛尔，我是中国人，职业是图书编辑，同时也是IMCPI汉语讲师（Mandarin tutor）。I am in Beijing now, and sometimes I go to chinese corners in Beijing and help the other foreign students. Nanjing is really beautiful and it's a famous historical city. Next year I maybe travel there, at that time I wish to have more interesting experience to share with you.

观察means watch for some research or the other goals. And 思考 means think about, adding to some kind question behind it. In the phase, 人为什么会做梦，梦有什么意义 actually are two questions, so, 思考 is right, because you can't watch （观察）questions, you just can think or answer them.

I think the reason the kids can learn a language faster the adults is they can focus on practice, again and again. If you really want to read chinese charaters right, you can look for a native chinese speaker as your tutor or partner.Pratice makes perfect.（熟能生巧） :grin:

I am wondering if Chinese is very difficult?  I have wanted to learn some of the language in the event I go to China.  I have found it a bit overwhelming so far, however.

:tongue:there are some tips to study chinese. 1, some simple words can be looks as simple pic, actually they comes from the ancient painting, and are the "roots" of the other complicated chinese words.

2, many chinese words have the same components which have been recongnized easily, and help you how to read these words. If you learn these rules of chinese words, you can read or remember many words.

3, the tone of chinese words, are different from the other languages, but, if you just look these tones as the music tones, you can read these very clear.
