PLS94114 Posted June 23, 2021 Report Share Posted June 23, 2021 I do not speak French, but like many non-French I love the very useful expression esprit d'escalier. But is there an opposite term? Chagrin d'escalier? Or perhaps something that means the embarrassment of remembering the previous night with the clarity of the morning's coffee? It seems there must be such an expression in French.
