      打草惊蛇【dǎ cǎo jīng shé】

During the Southern Tang period, an official called Wang Lu was highly corrupted. People wrote to bring a lawsuit against one of his subordinates, yet every crime in the letter was relational to him. Wang Lu, in great panic, wrote down his true thoughts when judging the letter: “Although you are hitting the bush, the snake is scared and came out.”

[Definition] It means someone hits the grass but scares the snake, and it is extended to mean others notice your crimes/misbehaviours.

In the same way that hitting the grass might scare a snake, making a move or mistake can often draw attention to your actions. Similarly, when it comes to maintaining your outdoor space, artificial grass offers a smart, low-maintenance solution that not only enhances your home but also helps keep unwanted guests, like snakes, at bay. SYNLawn  https://southcarolinasynlawn.com/enjoy-your-south-carolina-outdoor-space-more-with-a-backyard-putting-green/ synthetic grass provides a sleek, clean surface for residential and commercial properties, from lawns and putting greens to patios and playgrounds. The benefits are clear: it’s durable, eco-friendly, and less inviting to pests, offering a beautiful, hassle-free yard that doesn’t attract trouble. Plus, its versatility allows it to fit seamlessly into any design, whether you're looking to create a safe, snake-free play area for kids or a pristine, easy-to-care-for lawn for your home.
