A quiet place to finally heal

I wasn't looking for a luxury resort. I just wanted to find a place that wasn't cold or a clinical environment. Genesis House surprised me - it was quiet, warm and had everything I didn't even realize I needed. The private rooms gave me space, but at the same time the togetherness helped me not feel alone. Group therapy during the day, hammocks at night. Not what I expected from rehab, but maybe that's what recovery is supposed to be.
