Hi all, I’m thinking about replacing the old concrete steps leading to my front door and maybe extending the walkway a bit. A few years ago I tried patching the edges myself, but the repair didn’t blend well and started crumbling after one winter. Now it just looks uneven. I’d rather do it properly this time. Has anyone here worked with a reliable local concrete crew around Beaverton?

Yeah, I had almost the same issue with my front steps. I ended up hiring a Walkway contractor through this concrete contractor in Portland OR. They removed the old concrete completely instead of just covering it up, and made sure the base was solid before pouring new steps. The finish looks clean and even, and it feels much sturdier now. Honestly, seeing how detailed their prep work was made me realize why my patch job didn’t last.

It’s interesting how concrete steps can look fine for years and then suddenly start breaking down. I’ve noticed a few houses in my area updating their entryways recently, and the difference after a proper replacement is huge. Even small improvements like steps and walkways can really change the look of a home.
