BeenCrown Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Hey everyone, I was just thinking about how much the gaming scene in India has exploded over the past few years. I remember a couple of years ago when I first tried an online multiplayer game with some friends from college, we didn’t think it would become such a big deal. Now, it feels like everyone I know has at least one favorite game on their phone or PC. I’m curious, has anyone else noticed how the industry has grown so fast and maybe have some personal stories about getting into gaming here? It’s kind of wild to see how what started as a casual hobby for me turned into this massive culture with tournaments and online communities. Quote
PollMort0 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Oh yeah, I totally get that! I got hooked on mobile gaming around 2018, and back then it was mostly just fun with friends after class. Now, it’s a whole ecosystem with e-sports events and streaming. If you want to see some interesting stats and insights about how India’s gaming market is evolving, you might find this article helpful: https://nenow.in/article/indias-gaming-economy.html . Personally, I even started a small blog about game reviews and trends after seeing how quickly the community grew. It’s amazing how what was once just a casual pastime can turn into something people follow seriously and even earn from. Quote
JouhBoysh Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Just jumping in here, I’ve never really been a gamer myself, but I always find it interesting how hobbies can evolve into industries. Like, even outside of gaming, you see so many niche communities forming online, from photography to DIY projects. It’s kind of fascinating to watch how people turn small interests into bigger social and economic trends. Sometimes I just browse these threads to see what’s trending, even if I don’t participate in the hobby. Quote
