JouhBoysh Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Hey everyone, I recently started Ozempic for weight loss and I’ve been loving the progress, but I’ve also heard about that “Ozempic face” thing where some people say their face looks thinner or hollow. I got a bit worried because I really don’t want to look gaunt, especially around the cheeks. I found this article that talks about possible causes and how to prevent that kind of look: https://evernu.co.uk/blog/how-to-avoid-ozempic-face-look. From what I gathered, it’s about supporting your skin and muscles while losing weight, but I’d love to hear from people who’ve dealt with this. Anyone noticed changes in their face, and how did you handle it? Quote
BeenCrown Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago I totally get that concern — the face changes can feel surprising at first. When I was on a similar medication, I focused a lot on staying hydrated and adding strength exercises for the neck and jaw muscles. I also bumped up my protein intake a bit and made sure not to cut calories too drastically, just to try to preserve muscle. It didn’t completely stop changes, but it definitely helped keep my face looking healthier and less hollow than I expected. Some people also swear by facial massage routines — not sure how scientific that is, but I found it relaxing and maybe it helped a little with circulation! Quote
PollMort0 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Just reading through this thread, it’s interesting how so many small lifestyle habits can affect how we look while losing weight. Even without personal experience with Ozempic, it seems like paying attention to overall nutrition, hydration, and muscle tone makes sense for feeling confident in your appearance. Everyone’s body reacts differently, so it’s cool to see folks sharing what’s worked for them. Quote
