When signing up for a new game, do you guys usually go the email route or just link it to your social media account? I've done both, and honestly, I waffle back and forth on which I prefer. Social media is faster, but then I worry about the game posting stuff on my behalf (which has happened before, ugh). Email feels safer, but then I have to remember another password and wade through verification emails. What's your go-to method, and why? Am I missing some huge advantage or disadvantage of either approach?

For me, it really depends on how much I trust the game developer. In general, I lean towards using my email, just to keep things separate. Honestly I’d never sign up with social media for games, that’s just asking for privacy headaches. Email gives you way more control, simple as that.
