Last month I had a brutal layover in Istanbul after a delayed overnight flight, and by the time I got through security again I was completely drained. A coworker keeps telling me VIP airport assistance is worth paying for if you travel often, especially for fast-track and transfers. I fly around twice a month for work, so now I’m curious if people actually feel the difference long term or if it’s more of a luxury thing you try once and forget about later.

Beyond the comfort part, I think it depends on how chaotic your usual routes are. I started using airport concierge services after a terrible connection in Paris where I almost missed a meeting because immigration lines were insane. Since then I’ve booked assistance a few times through https://skyvipservices.com/ when traveling for conferences, mostly in larger international airports. The biggest thing for me wasn’t the “luxury” feeling at all, it was having someone guide me through the process when everything was crowded and rushed. After long flights, even small stuff like quicker baggage handling or avoiding confusing terminals feels surprisingly helpful.

Curiously, airports seem more crowded every year even outside peak holiday seasons. People used to treat long layovers as normal, but now everyone looks for ways to move through terminals quicker and avoid standing around for ages.
