  1. As a parent, I am considering whether or not to start teaching my 3-year-old child English. While there are certainly benefits to learning a second language at a young age, I am also aware that there are potential drawbacks to starting too early. Therefore, I am reaching out to this forum to get some opinions and advice from others who may have experience in this area. On the one hand, I have heard that young children have an amazing ability to learn new languages. Their brains are like sponges, absorbing new information and skills at an incredible rate. Starting my child's English education early could lead to greater language proficiency and a greater sense of confidence when communicating in English later in life. However, there are also potential downsides to starting too early. For example, learning a new language can be overwhelming for young children, especially if they are expected to learn too much too quickly. This could lead to frustration, burnout, and a negative association with the language in question. Additionally, some research suggests that children who start learning a second language too early may not develop as strong of a foundation in their first language, potentially leading to difficulties in reading and writing later on. Currently, I am referencing 2 sources which are from centers in my country and an article https://apollo.edu.vn/goc-se-chia/tieng-anh-cho-be-3-tuoi https://childmind.org/article/should-i-teach-my-child-a-second-language-or-will-it-delay-her-language-development/
