While no two languages are ever the same some similarities always tend to exist especially those within Europe as they all derived from one language. Also, aside from being derived from one language, languages also have the tendency to borrow from other languages. This is evident as in English we have borrowed term deja vu among others.

While I haven't started to learn the language as yet it is something that is way up on my list of priorities. I would love to learn it as I'm fascinated by the language and it's intricate writing styles, also I want to be able to know the basics when I visit, I plan on doing that one day.

Most of the poetry I have been exposed to was during high school as it was a part of my academic program. It was then I learned about William Wordworth, he's an interesting poet and his use of language was just as intriguing. However, my favourite poet has been Margaret Atwood, a local Jamaica poet. Really enjoyed reading her work and found a new respect for the art of poetry all together.

I am of the belief that the best way to relearn the language is to find a speech community that speaks your desired language and integrate with them. They don't necessarily have to be native speaks as once they have a good command of the language then they should be able to help you relearn the language.

Proper spelling as been reduce to IM speech and unfortunately grammar is not always at the forefront when conversing with each other. However, there are some people with genuine grammar and spelling problems.

I hail from the Caribbean territory of Jamaica where our national language is English but we also speak the world renowned and one of the most celebrated dialects, Jamaican Creole (Patwa). When thinking about which article to use whether "a" or "an" one must never focus on the spelling but on the sounds of the word, as some words may start with a vowel but is pronounced differently. Vowel sounding words are used with "an" and constants sounding words are taken with "a".

I am a native English speaker, I studied Shakespare works for three (3) years throughout high school (Literatures in English student). While I enjoyed his plays and the plots were excellent, I must admit I found the Old English hard and sometimes impossible to read. I was very much glad that these modern Shakespare books comes with their own translation, made understanding a lot more easier.

My first year of high school, it was compulsory for us, I did French because everybody was doing Spanish and I wanted to try something new. Also, I have always wanted to visit Paris and speak the language of "love".
