  1. No offense but old people just don't get it. Haha. As a teenager, saying "u" instead of you saves a lot of time texting. Changing "are" to "r" just happens naturally when I'm texting. It isn't about being "lazy" when texting. But if there was an easier and faster way to do something, wouldn't you want to do it that way?
  2. I have studied Spanish for two full years. And I still don't think I could hold a conversation with someone in Spanish. I really wish my parents would of enrolled me into a language class when I was younger. Kids can pick up languages so easily, they are like sponges. But enrolling in a class my freshmen year of highschool, learning Spanish was very diffcult.
  3. Great topic! As an American, monolingual, if I don't understand a language I just say, "what?"
  4. I have studied two years of Spanish, so I can most definitely recognize that. I think from stereotypes you can recognize German, mean and harsh sounding. French is flowery and long, usually considered very beautiful. Like the other person said, I have never studied Korean, Mandarin, etc... But I would know what is it.
  5. I know it sounds weird but I don't like words, like love or hate. Even though I don't have the best vocabulary, I don't like boring words like that. Theres so many more elaborate, descriptive words you could use.
