  1. If I were five years old and I just arrived in a Spanish-speaking country, I'd probably be speaking it like a native in a few months even if I have not spoken a word of Spanish before. I think that as we grow older, it gets harder to learn any language just by listening to other people talk. But it really depends. My aunt was already an adult when she worked in Hong Kong and after a few years, she was speaking Cantonese fluently without taking any classes or formal studies. I guess she was just lucky.
  2. German. I took classes last year and finished level A1, but that's it. I ran out of time and money to continue. I tried to study by myself but that really doesn't work for me, I'd rather learn inside a classroom. Hopefully I could continue in the near future.
  3. Yes, somehow I feel like a different person when I speak English (Filipino is my native tongue). I can't describe it fully, but it's like a different side of me emerges. I've been speaking English almost my whole life but the "real me" surfaces when I speak Filipino.
