  1. Thanks for the reply. I'm in the UK at the moment and fortunately work with 3 Italians. I've got a grammar book but I really don't get much from reading it. There's so much in it that I'll never be able to learn most of it and when I will be talking I won't be going through the hundreds of rules from the book in my head before every sentence, so I think immersion is the best way for me.
  2. I'm currently learning Italian with no previous lessons and barely visited the country. I have Rosetta Stone and thinking that completing this will only give me a basis for further learning. I am now wondering what to do next: 1 - Complete other courses such as Michel Thomas/Pimsleur/Duolingo 2 - Start immersing myself into Italian TV/Radio/Books, I was thinking that getting some booked written for kids could be a good next step. Is option 1 going to repeat a lot of what I already know and end up a waste of time or is it good to cement the basics before moving on. My plan is to move to Italy with work somewhere between 3 and 12 months from now. Work will be undertaken in English but would like to be at a level where i'm not afraid to engage with others in the Italian.
