  1. Hi. My first post here. I've been dabbling with trying to get better with German for years, but I'd really like to buckle down and work toward fluency or close to it this time. One aspect of German that's difficult for me is the subjunktiv tense with modals. I need to find a page somewhere that groups this all together so I can tackle it. Some examples are: Er hätte das Buch nicht vergessen können. Sie hätte überrascht sein sollen. In the last example, "hätte" is the helping verb. So what other German verbs can replace hätte in this kind of tense? 37/5000 Did you mean: He would not have forgotten the book.
  2. Hey all, just wondering how to say "we may leave England and go for a long holiday in Spain" in French? I want to use the Subjunctive and other stuff. Sorry I'm pretty new to it all. is it something like "nous partions l'angleterre" etc or is that totally wrong? thanks very much.
