Marico Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 Hello and nice to meet you! Language has been a hobby of mine since my sister got her degree in ASL. I did not think I could learn foreign languages because four years of high school Spanish did not stick.When my sister taught me sign language I discovered that I could learn new languages. It was just HOW I learned that I had to figure out.While sign language and verbal languages are different. I was able to use some of the same techniques to brush up of Spanish. Which I did very quickly. I am working on French right now, which is not hard coming from Spanish.I want to learn Tagalog because I have made a new friend in the Philippines.
