What are some of the biggest challenges for a beginning learner of Spanish?

I am not sure as I never really had any issues when I started learning Spanish, it seemed natural to pick it up. So I am curious. Even though I wished I had more native Spanish-speaking friends to converse with when I was younger, it was never an obstacle for me to go on learning the language as best I could.
