班门弄斧【bān mén nòng fǔ】

Lu Ban was an exceptional craftsman who was famous for sharpening wooden handicrafts with axes. A poet in the Ming Dynasty judged people who wrote poems near one of the greatest poets, Li Po’s gravestone as “Showing off his ability to use axes in front of Lu Ban’s house”.
