I bought a house knowing that the roof needed to be replaced. It is a gable roof in a shallow triangle shape. I know that dormers have many pros and cons, but I would really like to have them on the north side if possible. Does it make sense to do the roof and dormers at the same time, or should I do the roof first and then the dormers?

Adding dormers requires cutting into the existing roof structure, so doing it after a new roof is installed could compromise the integrity of the work and end up costing more in the long run. Coordinating both projects together ensures better integration, improved waterproofing, and potential cost savings on labor. While you're focusing on home upgrades, it's also a great time to think about the interior. If you’re considering new flooring after your roof work, I suggest checking out Fifty Floor reviews many homeowners have shared positive experiences about their installation quality and customer service. Always good to plan ahead for a full home transformation!
