SilentEcho456 Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Hello everyone. I’m thinking about ordering a portrait that includes my whole family, but I’m wondering if artists can combine several people in one image. The problem is that we don’t really have one perfect photo where everyone looks good at the same time. Is it possible to create custom portraits using multiple photos as references? For example, one photo for one person and another photo for someone else? I’m curious whether artists can combine them into one composition when creating custom made portraits. Quote
Mingrates28 Posted March 6 Report Posted March 6 Yes, that’s actually quite common. Many artists who create custom portraits can combine people from different photos into a single artwork. It’s helpful if each reference image clearly shows the person’s face and expression. While researching options I found https://www.popartyou.com/ where artists create custom made portraits using uploaded photos. One thing I noticed is that artists can often adjust the composition so several people appear together even if they were photographed separately. This is especially useful for family portraits because you don’t always have the perfect group photo. The artist can arrange the figures in a balanced way while keeping the recognizable features of each person. Quote
