Rosa
I enjoy reading poems but not of any particular writer. My favorite poems are local poetry, known as dub poetry and dialect, most of which are written in my native tongue. dub poetry has a lyrical sway to it and the dialects are mostly written about the way things were in years gone by but in a funny way. Examples of dub poetry can be found at www.Mutabaruka.com and example of dialects are those written by Louise Bennett Coverley and Joan Andrea Hutchinson. Denis Hard
Probably one of the most famous poets of his time, Ted Hughes, is the poet whose work I always read. It's quite strange that no one has mentioned this poet who most people believe was the best during his era and that wasn't too long ago. The guy died in 1998. I found most of his poems posted online here: http://allpoetry.com/poems/by/Ted%20Hughes
marmunmrhundun
Me personally enjoy romantic poetry. I always think of romance whenever I think of poetry I don't know why. It just seems like poetry can be a big part of romance. I also love poetry that has some type of meaning, I mean you know that poetry that teaches people lessons or gives you something back from actually reading it.
