The answer for me here is yes an no. Yes because there are times that you do not have time to recall the  how you write in a certain language and really need to pass a message. However, it may lead to a lose  of people willing to learn other languages because they just need this software and the job is done for them.

I was thinking about this yesterday , I do freelance writing work and I find most clients ask for native English speakers. I am not not but I am very proficient in English. However, I will always find that I will not get this jobs. At such times then I wish my native tongue was different.

Yeah here in Kenya the native tribal tongues are spoken openly. I am native Kikuyu but never really speak it . Therefore, most people do not take it that I can speak  let alone understand. Therefore, its quite funny when people switch to it to hide what they are saying. One time that happened and told them that I still understand them. I never saw people so humiliated.

Yesterday I was listening to a business program that said that there is need to learn Chinese. Therefore because I love business a lot and the examples that I heard the language did not seem that hard. Therefore definitely for me it will be Chinese.

Diversity is something that I really appreciate. That is the reason that i would want to learn other languages. However, when it comes to the to the language you need English for me is the only one you need.

I have always thought in English. I think the reason is because most of the things from movies to books are in English. That is he only language that i think in.

The easiest language that I know to learn is Swahili. However, I never loved it, prefering English instead. I never failed a test or an exercise  unless when the teacher got on my nerves.

To tell you the truth I hate movies with subtitles. I do not think that i would learn from a movie. I would get irritated and just not learn anything. However, I would recommend the method to my friend interested in Chinese.

That is something that is very intersting, I do not think that they have a word for such a person in my country. Other than for somone who is slow called a tortoise it's that obvious.

Wow, I've never even heard that word once in my life. People really use that? Which country do you live in? I'm guessing America.

They're the only ones who butcher English like this, because I've never heard anyone here use that word, ever.

That is exactly what come to mind as I was reading it. That is the reputation that America has when it comes to English. However that is something that is so wrong to use as English.

I always get the same irritation , I think the reason for me is I have made an efforet to make sure that my spelling is impecable. However, I think the trend is coming about due to people not wanting to think about spelling  and genarally they are Lazy.

Well learning language for me was not hard for me. The reason is it is something that I loved to do. I read alot and made sure that I was always learning new words.The experience was just so good for me.

In everyone's opinion, what is the hardest part about learning a new language. My most difficult part about learning a new language is actually speaking the language fluently.

The speaking is also the problem for me . It really is hard especially if you are starting out. You feel like giving up at most times. However there is nothing that is worth something without the effort that is required.

I love communication the way that you pass a message and give information to people. Language being the only medium that this can happen, therefore I had to learn other languages. This is because it would not only give me  acesss to a larger audience .

The only way that I maintain a language is through reading. I really read a lot is my favourite hobby. I believe that reading is the only way you can maintain a language.

IN Kenay we are taught the mother tongue as the first language. I started learning my seconda and third language co-curently in the school that i went to . Those languages are English and swahili. They are taught from kindergarten  to High shool. Therefore i have had lots of time to get used to the languages.

I've recently indulged myself in the works of James Douglas Morrison (aka Jim Morrison). After reading his biography, I was incensed to search out the words he wrote but never sung. It's very imaginative, tough to deduce meaning from, but vivid in its imagery.

What poetry do you like to read?

I love poetry and I write it a lot . I realluy do not have a preference of people that I read from. However, there is this Ghanian poet Kofi Awour that I love. Whenever I read him I feel like I am in the place that he is writing about .
