  1. I can't be 100% accurate to judge whether they are since I am not an English native speaker but most probably they are not. This is considerably due to the fact that, like others who are not English natives we usually learn our first language from our parents who are not always accurate in their pronunciation, grammar and spelling. This means our capability to spell certain words, write and pronounce them depends mostly on our base which is mostly our parents. That been said I can say that not always will Native English speakers been accurate in their spelling, grammar and pronunciation.
  2. I am an average reader. I don’t know the reason but most probably it is just because I know there are other guys out there who can do it better than I do. For me I can only complete two books in day depending on the amount of time I have in hand and the number of pages in such books. Other times I can read a book for a week not because it has many pages but because it is awesome and encouraging.
  3. Anencephalous which means absence of a brain sounds a bit weird and funny for me. I say this because before I could know how to pronounce it well it took me like four days where the teacher could enter the class and the first thing would be to ask him to pronounce it. Though it seemed a challenged I ended up familiarizing with it but since then I always see it as a funny word.
  4. I use various bird-related idioms each day the most common ones being: As mad as wet hen- meaning extremely angry As scarce as hen’s teeth –meaning very scarce Duck’s soup-meaning a task that does not require much effort
  5. I have come across various weather related idioms and below are few: Come rain or shine - no matter what the weather/situation. On cloud nine - extremely happy. Rain on my parade meaning: if someone rains on your parade, they ruin your pleasure or plans. Throw caution to the wind - forget all your commitments and do something crazy.
  6. My favorite is a quote by Lemony Snicket. “Of course, it is boring to read about boring thing, but it is better to read something that makes you yawn with boredom than something that will make you weep uncontrollably, pound your fists against the floor, and leave tearstains all over your pillowcase, sheets, and boomerang collection.” Another great quote is “A man is as old as he feels to be” Others are: "Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on the doorbell." "Good supervision is the art of getting average people to do superior work." "Wit is educated insolence."
