  1. I am thinking about teaching English in Japan or China under a Disney program, but I have to take the TOEFL. How much does this exam cost? I am pretty poor right now. Is financial assistance available?  :shy:

Financial assistance for such exams is impossible to get. However, this depends on your country. Try searching on-line.

  2. Site: http://www.examenglish.com/

Description: This web site is for people studying for an English language exam.

These pages contain free online practice tests for the most important international ESL exams: IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, and the Cambridge English exams such as CAE, FCE, KET and PET.

They offer a free level test and placement plan. I strongly recommend this for anyone learning english as a second language or anyone who is looking to polish up on language.

I had been looking for past papers. Thank you for sending this website.

  3. Anything that is written in the Bible should be respected. I will not argue with any of you over this topic. I will simply ask you to keep you views to yourself and keep the forum on topic. The Bible is not a book that requires review and neither is it a novel or comic book to joke about.

  4. A lot of people who write believe that the use of big words helps their credibility as a writer. What you need to remember is your words are what will market your books or columns. Simply understand your target audience and what they would prefer and then make a decision on the style of writing you'll adopt. However, if you're writing for the general public, always use simple words so that you do not discourage readership.

  5. To encourage teaching, all you need to do is appeal to their human nature. Tell them what's in it for them. What many teachers fail to remember is what you want in life is not necessarily what your students want. Find out what one individual student wants out of their new language skills and encourage that idea until they become self motivated. Do not tell students what you think they should do with their learning skills, ask them what they want first.
