  1. Oh, it sometimes work. I'm too lazy to look up words on the dictionary, and google translates single words very well. But for sentences, I just can't rely on it. I gotta make some changes on the translations because it often feel not right. But it's really helpful and I use it a lot^-^
  2. I only understand Bahasa Indonesia and English. There are heaps of English translated books sold in the bookstore, but they also sell the original book too. I agree with you Peninha, I also prefer the original one. Novels and comics are fine. The more I read them, the more I understand the story. But it gets really confusing when it comes to textbooks no matter how many times I read it ;A;
  3. Omg that was so cool, I also love that movie too! Too bad there wasn't Bahasa Indonesia, but I am a tad bit happy considering she sang it in Malay too, although she didn't sound really fluent. But still wow! >,<
  4. I have this friend from Japan (his dad used to work there) and he's actually Indonesian as well. I thought he was unable to speak English but nahh he went to an international school and of course it used English so much. But I also think that France doesn't teach English at schools. There are only a few French people that speak English. But we can't really say a country doesn't teach a language just because the vast majority of them do not speak English. If you go to my country, I think you won't find people using English, even though it's taught in every school (it's part of our curriculum and it's mandatory in every school)
  5. I actually really want to learn Malay, as what I know it's very similar to my native language: Bahasa Indonesia. And there are a lot of Indonesian that speaks Bahasa a tad bit Malay-ish, especially there in Borneo and Sumatra. Well, I think it could be a tad bit helpful (and I suppose I could use Malay words in Bahasa too lol)
  6. I started learning a second language in elementary school. I've actually started learning English in the kindergarten but I didn't understand anything lol so I guess I'm not counting it. Although Bahasa Indonesia is taught in some schools in Australia and the minority of Asia countries, it seems like the only country which uses Bahasa Indonesia is just Indonesia itself. Nevertheless, we have to learn English and hey, I didn't know that English could be this helpful the first time I learned it. And nobody around me speaks English anyway lol
  7. I live in Indonesia and I'm still studying in high school (I'm a freshman!). German is a mandatory subject here. I thought it would be boring at first, but after I have been studying it for a few months I think it's pretty interesting.
  8. Guten Abend! Die einzige deutsche Lied das ich weiss ist "Das grosse Erwachen" von Annette Louisan :3 Kannst du mir andere Lieder?
  9. I was admitted to this high school last year, and German is a mandatory subject at school. I wasn't even interested on it and I thought it would be boring but lol hey, I think I am starting to like it. But I haven't learned much things because I've only been learning German for 8 months >,<
  10. Grüß dich! As you can see I'm new here^-^ I speak Indonesian (it's my mother's tongue:3) and English and I am currently learning German at school. That's it, I hope I could understand English and German even more here.
