In addition to being motivated to learn the language I think it's important to set aside and schedule yourself for learning and studying. I schedule a minimum of 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week to study. If I don't make it part of my routine I'm incredibly committed for the first month or so and then become more lax about it. This then slows down any progress because I have to relearn the basics and the learning becomes choppy instead of at a steady pace.

For me speaking is the hardest because I have to really think on my feet. I have always found reading to be the easiest, I think it's because if I forget a word I can generally guess the meaning in the context of the sentence.

Cool question, the next language I zoned in on is Russian. I haven't been able to find many tv shows, but do have some music that my grandparents gave me. The other thing that interests me about Russian media are the newspapers. There are quite a few of them and they look very interesting. I am looking forward to reading them.

The next language I would like to learn is Russian so I can speak to my grandparents. I am currently studying Italian, but Russian will definitely be next. I notice the more languages I study it becomes ever so slightly easier every time, I hope it is the same for Russian but doubt it.

I am proud to say that I have never used "lol." I don't know what it is about it, but I do not care for it. Perhaps it is what I consider the gross overuse of the phrase. My friend's mother loves it, but she does think it means "lots of love."

Hi Everyone, New here, looking forward to learning some new things. I speak English, have a pretty good handle on French, a little bit of Spanish and am currently taking Italian lessons. My short term goal is to really solidify my Spanish skills because it would be most useful to me. A long term goal is to learn Russian because my extended family speaks the language and I would love to be able to converse with them one day.

I started learning French when I was in 7th grade and took it for the next six years. I wish I had started earlier, but at the time I wasn't thinking of it. I really think starting early is the way to go. If/ when I have children I plan to start them on language lessons fairly young.
