  1. Hi, I just wanted to say hello and meet other interesting people who are interested in learning or teaching a new language. I am trying to learn some Japanese and Chinese at the moment. Not doing so well but still trying.
  2. Teaching ESL is fun. It is not the easiest job especially if you have demanding parents or school management that doesn't care much for the teachers. However, the experience is awesome and I think it is a rewarding career for some people. I think preparation for class each and every day is the key. Also patience.
  3. I think the best sources are the ones you feel most comfortable using. When I first started studying Spanish, I only used a book. When I learned Korean, I had a language exchange partner. When I studied French, it was in a classroom. I think the best source is the one that helps you the most.
  4. I'd like to learn: 1. Chinese 2. Japanese 3. Korean 4. German 5. Arabic I think these languages would help me in so many ways if I were able to master them. Chinese is my top choice because I would like to communicate with more people in China and understand the culture more.
  5. I think it depends on where you are from. In addition, someone who doesn't focus on correct pronunciation will show their accent. As long as it sound clear and understandable, I don't mind an accent. Sometimes, an accent sounds cute.
  6. Hi, I think this is great because grammar is one of the biggest problems students have. (Especially as far as English learning is concerned.) In addition to your link, I also direct students to use free grammar checkers online which can be found by doing a quick Google search. I think these tools are super useful for anyone who wants to see improvement quickly.
