I also believe that using music can help us learn faster or better those various languages not just Japanese. It is because it could help us memorize words more and even those we really do not understand the meaning, we can still sing with it.

Also music adds fun to the learning process which makes it easier.

I think Google Translate is the most popular translation tool in the web but I do not think that it is one of the best. It might be a good tool for translating word per word but not for translating sentences or phrases. It will not give the exact meaning of what should be translated so, not that good for translating sentences.

I am not that good when it comes in spelling so, getting some of those difficult right also give me that feeling of satisfaction. There are times that I try to just use another synonym or just expand the sentence to make the thoughts the same if I really had a hard time making the spelling of a word right when writing an essay before.

There are short courses for various languages here so,those who just want to learn basics could enroll on those classes. I would not mind taking or attending those short classes especially if just for few hours a day.

Agree that it is more easy to learn a new language even new things when you are in a school setup. There are proper tools and guidance.

Nice to know all those words, I also never thought those Tagalog words do exist.

I am sure there are lots of other Tagalog words that we are not familiar with. Just like those Tagalog equivalent of Science or Technology terms as well as those very old Tagalog words.

I have seen some online advertisements about available translation jobs and when I tried checking some, the sites require upfront payment or fees. I doubt if those are legit sites cause if they are offering jobs, that should be for free or they could deduct the fees in your future earnings.

There are also some translation jobs on freelancing sites like oDesk but have not tried applying to those jobs yet.

I have tried Google translate several times when I was looking to translate some words I cannot really understand online. I think it is effective to use on translating per words but not much effective when translating phrases. It seems not that accurate.

Right that it is a fun and useful way to learn new language with those some phrases to be translated on languages we know.

There was a Filipino translation already so, I do not need to translate those phrases anymore. It will be great to read some Filipino local dialects translations of those like in Bisaya or Waray. I grew up in Manila so, I could only speak and understand Tagalog/Filipino.

Never heard or read about this site even I have been using the net for years. This kind of useful site should be famous or be well known so that it would help a lot more. Thanks for sharing about Linguee and definitely I will use the site when I would be needing some words to translate or know the further meaning.

I agree that it depends on where you are.

Definitely if you are in the US, Spanish will be the most valuable language to learn. If you are an overseas worker, the language in the country you are currently working will be the most valuable language to learn for you.

I am no expert but I think there is a difference between the two.

I think the "Nandito" is more appropriate to use for a person like "Nandito ako". While "Narito" is more appropriate to use on things like "Narito ang bahay". Just my opinion though.

Good thing that I do not have a friend who enjoys or like to use the Jejemon language.  :grin:

I am not that pissed off in the Jejemon language but I will be irritated if I would received a Jejemon message cause it will be hard for me to understand especially if it is a long message. But on the bright side, it sounds quite cute or fun.

I agree that there are Tagalog or Filipino words that you cannot just translate directly.

I have tried translating a Filipino article to English and vice versa as part of our school project and I really had a hard time that time. It took me long hours to make it near to its meaning and structure.
