  1. Well, most Korean people I have met here are extremely nice to me when I ask about a certain word or phrase. They even go beyond their efforts and try to speak the best English they can. I guess for rude native speakers, you really cannot do anything about them. You just have to find another native speaker that is nicer and more willing to work with you. I don't really generalise as I know that there are different kinds of people in a country or place. One may be mean, but there will be plenty more who are nicer. Just try to look around more and you will find a better person to communicate with regarding a foreign language.
  2. I think there are certain disadvantages when old age comes but does that have to stop you from learning a new language? It should not! Though your memory may not be as sharp as before, you certainly have the experiences to make do of the situation. You are better equipped with techniques, skills, styles and abilities that you can use to master a new language. Younger people have advantages but so do older people! I know a few older people who have mastered a language even at their age!
  3. I think the gaming part is what really hooked people into it. I know I learn more when I'm enjoying rather than plain memorising. I'm always on the lookout for apps that help me learn a language in a fun way. I have found Duolinguo and another one posted here. They are great ways of learning a language without the hassle of like being lectured and such.
  4. Oh wow this couldn't have come more at a right time! I'm very interested in learning Japanese since I love watching anime. I love that this is a game that enables me to learn Japanese. Who knew that that could happen? Thanks for sharing this one! I will surely download it and let you know!
  5. Well, right now, I'm learning Korean. I love watching Korean series so I would really like to be able to learn the language. It's annoying to read wrong subtitles that doesn't even make sense most of the time. Lol. Next on my list would be Japanese or Nihongo as I also love watching anime series from Japan. It would be easier to know the language and enjoy the anime graphics than spend my time reading the subtitles.
