  1. Active listening is a good way to learn a new language but the proof of the pudding is in the eating and in this case speaking the language is most important. After all understanding a language is of not of much use if no one can understand what you are saying.
  2. The best way to have kids learn two languages is to speak in both to them. When they don't understand something explain it to them so that they use it in their own speech. When they get stuck provide them with new words and after some time you will find that they are fluent in both languages. It is as easy as that!
  3. The best way to become fluent in a new language is to befriend someone or organize for someone who is fluent in it, preferably a native speaker. It becomes so much more easy and you don't feel that you are studying a new language because you always want to be able to understand what the other person is saying.
