I have been learning Mandarin for 4 months now, and I'm pretty good with greetings, and lots of other stuff. It's just that many words are really hard to pronounce, I have been told that I said something that are disrespectful, made no sense, and just were not the standard way of saying something. I don't think I will be fluent in the language anytime soon. But I need to pick up the pace because I want myself and my family to move to China before the end of 2017.

No, I don't think it will, there are too many people out there who wouldn't let it happen. I would not want it to, and it's nice to be able to stick to traditional ways of teaching our kids how to do something. This is tradition, and we shouldn't let tech do everything for us. I agree with @hades_leae, I want to see culture being taught by people and not tech. It's much more passionate and meaningful, and you don't want your kids relying on tech for everything.

I actually enjoyed using my book from school when I was studying it back then. I read the book when I was at home, and didn't have problems pronouncing each word that I read, it was so easy once you understand how Spanish is spoken. I think that many people should buy a Spanish book for their homes, and study it because they can learn a lot. I believe that books can sometimes be better teachers because they get to the point, but when things get more complex, then that's when you should start working with a translator.

That is a good question, I never thought of that before. I will go learn more about compound words in French, and I also wonder how Chinese people say many words. That's what I'm learning now, and it's the hardest language I've tried learning so far. It would be nice if there was classes I could take online that could break all of that down.

I do believe that English is the best language to learn first, as well as Spanish because they are easy to learn and pick up. When I started to sample Spanish, I became hooked. I loved the reaction I get from Spanish speaking women, they are always shocked, and some really like it. It's a really romantic language as some would say,

I think that is so true, I wouldn't want to learn a language if I'm not going to be in touch with the culture, it's just more meaningful, and languages are just not something that you can go to the store and buy. You have to commit to them, and I'm not doing that just to forget.
