I am a native speaker of English and have studied German to a reasonable level - most of which I have forgotten since I have not been to Germany for a while. Currently I am studying (not too intently) a variety of languages including the latest, Hindi. I am also interested in language theory and linguistics, especially writing systems. I am a native speaker of Arabic and have learned English through a combination of learning at school and studying the language with Korean at university. I have also studied French in school and is restudying it. I am also interested in learning about applied linguistics but was wondering if one would need a a bit of knowledge in linguistics first.
