Bekhruza
Hello everyone) During lifetime we meet countless amount of teachers. As a matter of fact they are completely or partially different from each other. Some of them are energetic, emotional, full of beans masters, but another part are serene stony tutors... I have noticed that teaching specific subject (for example chemistry or biology) is another huge sphere in teaching profession, but nobody talks about that(( What kind of teachers do or would you prefer in order to learn a language? What kind of teachers do or would you like to learn scientific subject? Why? Share with us your experience)))

You're right, every teacher differs one from another as well as individuals do in their character, behavior, outlook. Fortunately, there is no a singular formula for teaching success - I believe, that it comes from within. There are many subjects, there are many teachers and there are many students, all of them are different and need specific approach, therefore, as far as I am convinced, the teacher should have mainly the passion towards teaching, towards conveying existent knowledge to the younger generation in the language they understand, they should believe in positive outcomes and do their best from their side, they need to understand the core importance, value and responsibility that have been laid upon them provided they are good specialists themselves. Other differences, like character, nature, temper, I reckon to be absolutely subsidiary, for I have encountered first class teachers both in introvert and extrovert shape) So, where is a will, there is a way! linguaholic
mike012
Hello there, Well I wouldn't say I prefer a certain type of teacher, as you said teachers are all different, but as long as they teach their subject with passion and interest I don't mind the rest. With that said I did have a couple of teachers in college that looked like they'd rather be someone else during their classes and that is an issue as I don't think you can teach a subject without engaging with the students in a energetic and enthusiastic way. jonathanrace
I would like a proficient teacher. I'm sure I would be more drawn to a teacher with a personality but it isn't my number one concern. That being said, I think everyone is different. I think for people who are more socially driven they would probably make having someone they get on with more of a priority. Compare this to someone who is more focused on results (regardless of the experience) they may prefer someone who will get those results (even if it isn't so fun.)
