Molly doyle
I have an interest in the way young children use language and particular expressions they use. In the UK when a young child wants to do something themself they will say "me do it". I would love to know if there is a similar phrase in other languages and countries... so if you know what the little ones say to assert their independence please reply... I don't know if that counts...but regardless of the language, it seems that children would just say their own name to express their wish (assert their independence). so my niece would just say "Emma, Emma" if she would like to have something or do something
