I'm heading there soon and speak Canadian french, but I understand that there are some differences.Any ideas what some things that I should be aware of? Permidian Posted November 3, 2013 Report Share Posted November 3, 2013 French speaking Belgian here.You won't notice much of a difference beside the accent (Which can vary from one region to another in Belgium) and some French-Canadian words and expressions that doesn't exist here but will be understood either way for the most part.It's much like the difference between American English and British English.
